MISSIONS POLICY OF EAST BAY BAPTIST CHURCH
East Bay Baptist Church believes the Bible teaches the Church’s responsibility to get the Gospel out. By sending forth laborers, prayerfully winning souls to Christ, supporting missionaries through faith promise giving and prayer. The purpose being the establishing of Local New Testament Churches for souls to hear the Gospel be saved, baptized, to grow in grace and serve God and give God the glory!
The Lord Jesus Christ calls for workers.
Luke10:2
Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
The Lord Jesus Christ commanded His disciples to be missionaries.
Matthew 28:18-20
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
The Lord Jesus Christ sends out Missionaries.
John 20:21
Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
The Lord Jesus Christ uses His Church to spread the Gospel.
Acts 1:8
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Acts 13:2,3
As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
The Lord Jesus Christ wants people to hear the Gospel!
Romans 10:13-15
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
